Card Trick
Name of Maker: Tiaabeja
Card Trick - This is a Hoopsisters Mystery Quilt done by emboridery on my Brother Quattro machine. We were given 6 weeks worth of patterns through the month of June. I made 8 inch block and they sewed them together. I placed a piece of fabric on the back to cover the seams and put on a binding. I really enjoyed doing it. I really learned a lot about my machine doing it. I really enjoyed it. This is the second quilt that I have done from Hoopsisters.
Waves

Waves - my first large quilt
My unfinished loped sided hexagon block/quilt
Name of Maker: Sarah 21
My unfinished loped sided hexagon block/quilt - This is a work in progress. I have working on this pattern/quilt for sometime. Originally I became disillusioned by the hexagons. How was I going to put it together. I did not want to copy the original design. So it all went into a plastic bag until January 2011. After a dream it all started happening. So far, its a star with two additional blocks. I continue to work on it every night while watching television. Once the star pattern is completed I already know the next step. In my picture there is two other blocks one partially completed and the other completed to be fitted into the pattern at same stage. The is another completed block that is pink in coloured to be added to the photo's at same stage.

My unfinished loped sided hexagon block/quilt - This is other picture of my centre block prior to the star point being sewn onto it. It also includes the other completed block to be used.
Crazy Quilt Bag
Name of Maker: im4himfirst
Crazy Quilt Bag - Original Crazy Quilt Bag Design ~ we're going to NH "Mancuso" :) Created from practice blocks ~ test stitches, colors, textures, before in actual project. Quilted, CottonBatt, backed, hand shoulder straps, button closure :)
Thorn In My Side
Name of Maker: Tammy Gardner
Thorn In My Side - Another paper pieced Judy Niemeyer quilt. I used invisible machine applique on it. This was quite a challenge, I usually do fusible applique, but wanted to try another method. At one point I cut a hole in the top- oops! Fixed it and can't even find it now... There's a long story that goes along with this quilt, but since I've already used up more than my 30 words, I can't pass that along. Sorry!
K-5 Fractured and Frazzled Flowers
Name of Maker: Elsie Montgomery
K-5 Fractured and Frazzled Flowers - While the pattern is Ricky's every quilt turns out a surprise. Fabric choices, widths in the strata, and layout of each pattern piece makes each quilt like the turn of a kaleidoscope. Totally addicting!
soldiers angels 6
Name of Maker: Kathleen
soldiers angels 6 - this is a scrappy nine patch with borders making it look floating.
Sunshine on my Shoulders
Name of Maker: LaynaK
Sunshine on my Shoulders - This is my completed quilt from the sensational strippers exchange! I added 'another 100' batiks from what I had received. Yellow connecting batik was a color experiment that worked.
Los Lobos
Name of Maker: LaynaK
Los Lobos - Wolf panels fussy-cut called for an art quilt approach to create a cohesive design. Whatever came to mind to bring out colors and textures was my goal.
Solar Power
Name of Maker: LaynaK
Solar Power - Paper-pieced, spiky design. Lots of work but sure is a nice outcome!
Crates and Rings
Name of Maker: LaynaK
Crates and Rings - Exhibiting dogs, the 'crates' and 'rings' were obvious with the pattern design and fabric patterns. My other title choice would be 'Black and Tan or Red All Over' for Shibas!
The Circle of Life
Name of Maker: LaynaK
The Circle of Life - The Circle of Life panel with complementing fabrics required a framework. Doing a 'window frame' design out of my imagination rather than any instructions was a bit of a challenge.
A Summer Story
Name of Maker: LaynaK
A Summer Story - All kinds of colorful FQ's & no idea if they can work together or be enough for this class project. But it worked! Kitties here & there.
milo's dragonflies
Name of Maker: amanda eno
milo's dragonflies - blocks of wacky log cabin flowers amongst strips of pieced grass with dragonfly blocks suspended in the sky.
Revisit #1
Name of Maker: Mickey Depre
Revisit #1 - Began playing around with construction of the wavy module units while traveling and teaching (this is what national teachers do in hotel rooms across America...lol) and when I got back to my studio I pulled out some scrappy traditional pieced blocks (dear friend Bonnie Hunter can be such a brain worm) and threw everything up on the design wall (along with a few filler fabrics) and began to play. This is what happened. And this is now a 2 day workshop entitiled "Module Stew".
