Carolina Stars - This quilt came together from blocks used to practice and teach the hunter star block!

Threaded Painting Vase - After taking 2 of Nancy Prince's classes I decided to try my first bigger thread painted piece. Here it is, I think its pretty amazing myself. I have done one with fabric but this one I did totally with thread and only thread.

Silk Fantasy A La Diane - A blissful week at Asilomar in a workshop with Diane Gaudynski this spring resulted in this little quilt which features free motion quilting mostly done free hand with very little marking using #100 YLI silk thread. Her techniques have changed my quilting life!

Chaco I - Several years ago my husband and I visited the remote, starkly beautiful and mysterious Chaco Canyon in the Four corners area of New Mexico. There we were fascinated by the distinct architecture of this ancient trading and religious center in the middle of the desert where the Chacoan culture flowered between 800 and 1250 AD. The quilt was made from my photo of a series of doorways in the Pueblo Bonito. Hand dyed sateens were fused to a foundation and then painted to give more illusion of depth. The free motion quilting was done with silk thread.

Family Tree - This quilt was made as a Guild Challenge. The Fabric that is in the flowers was given to us and the theme was"Life In Stitches" I found the perfect flower power fabric to enchance the challenge fabric. I won 1st place in our Guild challenge which was a suprise indeed.

Annabelle - I so enjoyed taking a class from Sue Olsen of Dog Gone Quilts that I made this wall hanging from my grand daughter..It is of Annabelle her Corgi puppy....

Bob the Cat - My cat Bob, from a photograph I took. done in Sue Olson's class (DogGone Quilts)

Oropendola - Another quilt made with Sue Olson's technique. I love this way of making quilts!

Cpsta Rican Flower - Another one made using Sue Olson's technique.

Crater Lake - Landscape taken from a photograph by my friend Larry Anderson. Made for a charity auction for Jackson Bottoms, a local wildlife refuge.

Butterfly's and Geisha's - I used the images from the pattern and revised to fit my own layout . The Geisha was a small image I found and made a template in order to piece dress. Hand appliques, machine embroidery stitches. Eyes and mouth were applied with Micron markers

TQS Block of the month - My first block of the month still working on borders..

For My Daughter

none - Saw this pattern in a quilt magazine over a year ago. Made the quilt and quilted it on my longarm machine to donate through my Quilt Guild.

Flower Convergance - I designed this after the fun of watching Ricky demonstrating how to achieve this style. I just purchased my Go cutter and used this for the stems and flowers.
