no name - I made this for my mom for her birthday.

Berry Elegance - Sheryl Till designed this as our Quilt Expo's Fat Quarter Stroll in 2007. I just got around to making it. She is one talented designer.

New York Beauty - I took this class by Judy Holley. She designed the templates and pattern. It was when I discovered bright fabrics. Love this block. It is like popcorn. You can't make just one.

Gage's LSU Quilt - I made this quilt for my grandson Gage. The border is free motion handwriting beginning with "Welcome to Death Valley with ninety three thousand of your best friends."

Christmas Morning Nine-patch - Wal Mart material pack-never had made a quilt in my life or had any classes. I only knew the seams had to match and they do. The sashing is wavy because I didn’t know about how you were suppose to measure sashing and also had no idea about fabric value and contrast but I did fall in love with quilting and everyone in the family loved it! I had it done for my first Granddaughter’s first Christmas at our house! It holds fond memories and although I know I will probably will never win a show ribbon for any of my quilts this one won a blue ribbon in my family’s heart. And before my Mother and Father passed away I was able to make them decent quilts that they loved and cherished and hold even more memories for the whole family . So this one is the one that started it all!! Funny looking as it is, cheap material and all (which I never used again) I love it!!

Colorwash Wreath - Very interesting to stick the squares on the grid then sew rows and columns. Tip: Not all grids are created equal. Measure the grid lines before you buy it to be sure each square is correct size.

Floppy Flannel - I saw a quilt that was a square inside a square on a cover of a quilt magazine and thought I can do that. For some unknown reason I did not buy the magazine that had the pattern probably because since I had not taken any quilting classes yet I didn’t think I would be able to read or follow the directions anyway. My husband & I went to Joanne’s fabrics since the quilt was for him at work (he is a Fire Captain) and he saw a crate with flannel fabrics all put together & I said okay you’re the one that has to look at them, if this is what you want! This was the result and he says he loves it! I had no pattern, had no idea what I was doing just knew seams had to match, so that is what I did. Wasn’t too bad & he is still using it eight years later at the fire station! Machine quilted stitch in a ditch.

Hawaiian Quilt - My first Hawaiian style applique. It was a guild challenge and it won Viewer's Choice. I got a jelly roll of hand dyed fabrics as the prize!

My Hearts for You - Saw the quilt on the wall at the quilt store on Hilton Head Island, SC and fell in love with it. It was a simple heart on a piece of paper you copied after putting four pieces of fabric together, cut it out and then applique onto another four square pieces. It looked simple enough to me. Still hadn’t taken any quilt classes so I decided to pick out some fabric and try. I did it but didn’t do very much quilting on it but I had lots of fun!

You've Lost That Celtic Feeling - Sheryl Till designed this mystery quilt to look like a Celtic pattern when done. I did lots of free motion machine quilting as I am getting good at it. This quilt is currently on my bed.

Spring Fling - Saw quilt in fabric store and loved the fabric in the quilt so much I bought the fabric & was given pattern design by the store owner to follow directions. First quilt I got fabric and directions to actually follow. But I had a couple of quilt classes by now and felt a little confident I could do this one. This is my favorite quilt.

Upsy Daisy - I did a variation based on Darlene Zimmerman's design. It is now on my granddaughter's bed.

The Snow Family - Cover of Quilt Magazine. My first fusible quilt. Very simple quilt as I was a beginner quilter & it went together quit easy. A lot of fun to make.

Ryleigh's Garden - I made this quilt for Hattie's sister Ryleigh. I used the Oopsie Daisy flowers, then added some butterflies appliqued off center. These two granddaughters now have quilts that are similar but different.

Sunshine and Shadows - Very simple quilt to make-Made one for each of my four Grandaughter’s to come home from the hospital but each one is a little different material and different back so they can tell them apart. Receiving blanket size. My daughter and all her Dr’s just loved them!! I made all of them with the 1930 reproduction fabrics and my mother use to look at the material and pick one by one out and say “I remember that fabric, I remember that one too!” It was kinda funny!! She was an excellent seamstress! This photo of while I was making it depicts the color better than the photo I have of it completed but this is the third of four I made. I’ll try to get a photo from my daughter of it completed and repost. Sorry.

A Quilt for Mom - Yes, I made the Nebraska Rising Star. What was I thinking? My mother fell in love with the colors in this quilt. And it was fitting since she was living in Nebraska at the time I started it, yet had Louisiana Mardi Gras colors. It took 3 years off and on to complete the applique.

Mason Jar with bugs - I chose bug fabric which took me four years to find all the fabric in many different States to make four quilts at once. This is a photograph of the first to be completed. All tops are completed for my Granddaughters as they love bugs! Now it looks like you can go on-line and get bug fabrics from one place!! Arg-g-g. These fabrics we got from SC, NC, GA, NV, & TN. We were very patient until we were able to get enough but the Granddaughters weren’t old enough anyway! I plan my quilts years ahead of time for them!! I will put different color backings on them so each Grandchild can tell them apart.

Star Qult for Camping - I made this quilt for our trips camping. It is paper pieced and machine quilted using decorative stitching around the stars and stitched in the ditch.
