Flower Chain - This quilt was designed by me for the 2011 Opportunity Quilt for the Calico Cut-Ups quilt group in Independence, MO. The group was looking for a quilt that combined both applique and pieced blocks that could be made my many different members of the group. After looking at numerous patterns, I decided to try my hand at drafting a quilt for them to use. ©2009 Cat Approved Quilts

Atlantis Variation - Combination of applique (fused) and pieced blocks.

Jelly Roll Sampler Picnic Quilt - Using a scrappy jelly roll, I started with sampler blocks found at moosequilts.blogspot.com To bring unity to my blocks, I placed them around a scrappy 24" medallion block which was loosely based on the "Modern Medallion Pillow" pattern tutorial that I found at www.modabakeshop.com by John of www.quiltdad.com To make the quilt larger, I added the braided borders. Since I plan to use this quilt as a picnic quilt, I used denim for the backing, sturdy home dec cotton for the binding, and added a strap with Velcro (a la Elizabeth Hartman's Rec Center Picnic Quilt). This was my first time free motion quilting and I used the tissue paper marking method. The quilting is far from perfect, but I am getting the hang of FMQ.

Wonderful Water World - Lots of fun to make. Plan to do another.

Medea's Quilt - This is a fun quilt I made for my granddaughter and I added my own touches to the Thimbleberries pattern. My mom made all of our children baby quilts with a ruffle so I wanted to pass on the tradition and put a ruffle on the quilt for our granddaughter.

Memories - I tweeked the pattern a bit to accommodate the panel. This quilt is made from Dick and Jane fabric and brings back many memories of learning to read from the Dick and Jane readers.

Kittens with Mittens - This quilt was a BOM at my local quilt shop.

Storypath 1 - This quilt is an intuition quilt. I selected fabrics and colors as I went.

Square Pennant - This is a pennant made for the Quilters Quild in UK for their tombola stand at the Festival of Quilts in August 2010. I used the pattern shown on one of the quilt shows.

The Man Quilt - A quilt commissioned by a friend for her friend's 60th birthday. It was a challenge to design a quilt for a man who collects teddy bears. The quilt had to be appropriately masculine but have bears on it, plus a place for attendees at his birthday party to sign the quilt. The teddy bears are on the back of the quilt. Size is approximate.

The Great Outdoors - I had so much fun with the making of this quilt for my son, Brian, for his 45th birthday. I used panels, which I cut apart and framed in black; then put my 2 1/2 inch squares together and surrounded each framed panel. Then I appliqued "camping" themes all over.

Double Duty - I made it King size so I made some changes in where the outer Flying Geese were placed and how many blocks used.

Snowball - Blue and white snowball quilt. This was my 1st quilt. It was quite easy although it looks complicated.

Eureka - This was a kit that I purchased from The Golden Quilt Shop numerous years ago during a car show that my husband attended.

Body Fahrenheit: Energies Plus - Design based on the human body energies: Full Body Thermogram (Heat), Chakras, Aura, Meridians, Merkaba (immediate environment) and Spiral Cosmos (3rd, 4th Dimension)
