Flip Flops on the Boardwalk
Name of Maker: Becky Ray
Flip Flops on the Boardwalk - Mystery Quilt by AQS Magazine. I chose coordinating fabrics based on the flip flop fabric, crazy as they are. I adapted the flip flop blocks from a Quick Quilts magazine (that I can't find anymore). When it was completed, I saw the diagonal looked like a boardwalk and the fabrics imply water and sand.

stars allover - This is a road to Oklahoma block with an added pieced border . The quilt was started as an exchange and after everybody in my bee made 4 blocks I still needed 60 more blocks so I designed the sides of the quilt so there are no half stars and added the pieced border. The quilt is custom quilted

Jen's Gift
Name of Maker: serin10
Jen's Gift - This quilt was a thorn in my side and I was so happy to finish it - it took probably 3 years. The piecing was easy but just as I started to quilt it my machine decided that it no longer wanted to work. (It still doesn't work right).
Birds 'n Urns
Name of Maker: Kathy Delaney
Birds 'n Urns - I began with the 1930's series quilt Garden Bouquet, changed the pieced blocks to applique, kept the birds and some of the flowers, added flowers from Magic Vine and Laurel Quilt, added a few of my own and designed a whole new setting.
Papercuts and Toile
Name of Maker: Kathy Delaney
Papercuts and Toile - Inspired by schirrenschnitte blocks found in original Baltimore Albums made between 1845 and 1855, I set about to create my own "album" of papercuts. I thought they'd be perfect frames for the pastoral scenes depicted in the toile print.

Love X 2 - When American Quilter Magazine announced its 'Beyond the Block' mystery quilt challenge I knew it would be perfect for the Laurel Burch panel I had purchased some months proir.
