Just Ducky
Name of Maker: Debbie Kendall
Just Ducky - I made this quilt for my daughter's best friend since high school. She is the first of our daughter's friends to have a baby and and I wanted to make something special. I loved this quilt the minute I saw the pattern. The quilt is made using soft flannels. I love the way it turned out and baby Gideon loves it too!
Halloween Quilt
Name of Maker: Debbie Kendall
Halloween Quilt - I love fall, especially Halloween. I had the pattern for this quilt for a few years before I actually made it. It was a fun quilt to put together.
Blue Twinkle
Name of Maker: Nancy Tokarz
Blue Twinkle - This quilt was made from mostly very old scraps (20 - 25 years old), with a few exceptions. The pattern was perfect because in this book, 5" squares are the primary source for fabrics. It went together beautifully, and the block pattern really set off the fabric nicely (even if the fabrics themselves weren't so lovely anymore!)
Trailer Quilt
Name of Maker: Nancy Tokarz
Trailer Quilt - When I made the All that Glitters pattern quilt in 2009, I made twice as many half square triangles as I needed. What was I thinking?? In any case, I decided to put those little blocks to use in another of the Nickel Quilts designed by Pat Speth. I made this quilt to go on the bunk of our travel trailer, hence the name, Trailer Quilt. I still had some half square triangle units left when the blocks were completed, so I just threw them in the border. I don't want to see anymore of them laying around waiting to be used in something (somehow, that makes me feel like there's one more unfinished project - and that I don't need!)
Carolina Christmas
Name of Maker: Nancy Tokarz
Carolina Christmas - This was the first mystery quilt I've ever done, and I loved doing it. This was Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt for late 2009. I used lots of old scraps, and some new to create this large quilt. The fun was not knowing what was coming next. I've started a tradition that as I use up my old stash in bed size quilts, I will give them away to family members. The idea is to have a drawing at Thanksgiving, for whoever is interested in taking it home. This one went to my niece, Valerie.
Shabby Chic
Name of Maker: Debbie Kendall
Shabby Chic - My daughter picked out the pattern and fabrics for this quilt. I love the softness of the colors.
Halloween Monsters
Name of Maker: Debbie Kendall
Halloween Monsters - I couldn't resist making this cute little pillow. The pieces were tiny but I used fusible web, then did the hand embroidery.
Flower Power
Name of Maker: JANBLOCK
Flower Power - This was designed by looking at other similar patterns and modified to suit my needs. I did all the piecing, applique, and quilting.
Woman to Witch
Name of Maker: Debbie Kendall
Woman to Witch - I haven't done cross stitch in many years, but I found a cross stitch shop near my home and I've picked up a few projects. I made this pattern into a pillow and sent it to my sister for Halloween. She loved it!
Three Bear of Yellowstone
Name of Maker: RangerAnna
Three Bear of Yellowstone - We live in YNP in the summer and I like to purchase WY and MT designs. This fit the bill perfectly! It was sized for a double bed, so I had to keep adding more and more strips to make it fit our king bed.
