Dusty's Quilt

Whispers - This is made completely with pastels for a very soft look. Uses 4 of the 9 blocks in the book.

Primarily Jordanne and Jacob - Our grandchildren's Original Artwork was scaled with computer to fit a 9" block. Designs were then traced using Fabric Ink, keeping the colors as close to their original art as was possible. The undulating red border has mini-piped edges. I made each child a quilt with their own artwork, but this combined one will stay at Gram's house! Won BEST CHILDREN'S QUILT at 2006 Smoky Mtn. Guild Show (Knoxville, TN)

The 12 Days of Christmas - Machine appliqued with fusible web and tiny satin stitches. Blocks are bordered with doubled mini piping. Expertly machine quilted by Kathy Drew. Juried into the August 2007 AQS Quilt Expo in Nashville.

Yo Yos for Yolanda - This quilt was made by my childhood beautician completely by hand! I saw it and had to have it! I love it and will cherish it forever.

My First Quilt - This is my first quilt. I made it for my grandmother who was shocked that I had started to quilt! I gave it to her for Christmas 2005. She loves it!

Football Collage - I made this small quilt in honor of an outstanding middle school football coach.

Self Portrait Cartoon - I've been tackling some large quilts and I wanted the satisfaction of making something quick and easy. This is what I ended up with.

Joely as the Willow Fairy - I wanted to make my granddaughter into a fairy. I ended up using ideas from all the books and articles I could find. It only took three years!

Waiting for Spring - Inpsired by the cotton print in the center of the quilt which is from a woodblock print by Hiroshige. When I bought the fabric I knew I wanted to make a raw-edge collage using a variety of Japanese and winter themed fabrics. This quilt has been published in Fabric Art Gallery by Leisure Arts & Banar Designs.

Roses for Mary - This is an embroidered quilt with center medallion, embroidered four corners, and rose swags on borders on silk material. The quilting was done by Kathy Drew.

Lenten Quilt - Guild workshop on making a Lenten quilt.

My first quilt - After taking my learn to quilt class, I made this queen-size Ohio Star quilt for my guest bedroom. My first few blocks were not twelve inches so they became shams and a throw pillow.
