Snowman Quilt - The snowman was created with raw edge applique and I used fusible fleece under him to make him more fluffy. I machine quilted him with my Bernina 440. This quilt was a milestone for me since it is all free motion quilting with my own quilt designs. I used Isacord thread and Superior Thread in the quilting. The fringe on the scarf was made with DMC floss.

Cows for Nancy - Cows and cow sceines bordered with solids and pieced fabrics with cows. Binded using backing and mitered corners.

Sally's gone Fishing - My sister-in-law aided me in constructing this for my cousin.

A Joyful Baltimore Christmas - These are small Baltimore Album style blocks appliqued using back-basting techniques. The border treatment is of my design using a swag pattern from a book (have no idea which one) and enlarging elements of Connie Sue Haidle's patterns. Feathers, channel stitching, cross-hatching, outline, and echo quilting comprise the quilting scheme. Over 356 yards of Sulky 12-weight thread is hand-quilted into the top. It took most of 2009 to applique and half of 2010 to hand-quilt.

Paradise by Longwood - I made this quilt and actually quilted on the embroidery module of my Bernina 830. It was beautiful when finished.

Wish you were Here - Made this quilt for the S.T.U.D. swap in Flickr last May. The theme was "wish you were here". This was the scene outside my bedroom window.

Schneur Zalman Ahron - This quilt was made for a special nephew. The quilt is made up of Judaic motifs. The torah scroll (with removable child's yad/pointer) has excerpts from the Scriptures of King Solomon's wisdom, and the large lower picture shows the Baal Shem Tov (who Zalman is also named for) on his way with his disciples to deliver aid to the needy. Zalman's name is in the center blue sky block, and his siblings' names are in the clouds around him. Ahron means "he runs after peace," so there is a circle of footprints around the dove of peace. The two candles represent the two lights, written and oral, of Torah. I designed and constructed this quilt after doing much research on the Chabad site to learn the history and meaning behind the stories and symbols.

Christmas Stardust - I made this wall quilt to use on our 2010 Christmas cards. My uncle, Dr. Kenneth Gingrich made the wooden nativity scene under the tree.

Shepherd's Fold - This quilt is machine pieced and quilted on my long arm. I did quite a bit or ripping out stitches before I got the quilting right.

18 Holes of Golf - Irish Chains frame the 18inch square "Golf Holes". It is symbolically free motion quilted with footprints & tire tracks. The fabric colors define the cart & foot paths, water traps & sand pits and white flying golf balls. "18 HOLES OF GOLF", is a whimsical quilt made for my son who loves to golf and serves as a memory of his golfing trip in beautiful Hawaii. This Quilt was pieced and free motion quilted with my Bernina Artista 200 Sewing machine and BSR.

Kleurvol te lewe - Embroidery blocks combined with star blocks

City Lights and Starry Nights - Made for the daughter of long time family friends. This was her wedding gift.
