What would she think today?
Name of Maker: Block maker unknown, assembled by Claudia Hough
What would she think today? - These blocks were hand pieced by unknown quilter in the 1930's, I purchased them at an antique market and assembled them with reproduction fabric for the sashing and corner stones, and then machine quilted it. It turned out so nice I entered it in our local fair and won Best of Show...Needless to say I'm very proud of this quilt.

Nessy
Name of Maker: Karen Mundt
Nessy - I made this quilt for my son, using colours and fabrics that he would like. The fabrics used in the stack'n wack blocks have aboriginal designs. I appliqued a lizard in the centreblock with free-motion quilting. It's name is Nessy, after the Loch Ness monster, because it is huge!
Bonfire At Sunset
Name of Maker: Leslie McNeil
Bonfire At Sunset - Original, art quilt features my hand-painted fabric that was inspired by a summer bonfire on the lake at sunset, roasting marshmallows, telling stories, watching the ever-changing colors of the fire, lake and sky... This one-of-a-kind hand-dyed and painted fabric features sunset hues in soft pinks, corals and soft golden yellow tones with a hit of chocolate brown richness as the sunset fades. Intricately quilted with lots of thick metallic threads, building on the fire theme where silver, black, copper, and gold foil meld together with sparks of turquoise, red, pink and orange as the fire crackles and wood pops and sparks... It really brought back memories of roasting marshmallows! A soft, creatively curving binding follows the lazy line of smoke from the fire, as it collides with spunky sparks, floating upward into the late dusky night sky. An original design from MarveLes (Leslie McNeil) Art Quilting. Approximate size is 20" wide by 36" long.
Colors of Home
Name of Maker: Jane Anne Ramey
Colors of Home - My daughter Melinda is studying abroad in London, England and wanted a quilt with the colors of autumn to remind her of home. I used a lightweight batting so it wouldn't run up the weight limit on luggage for her flight overseas. I used the machine to write with thread on the surface of the quilt top the label, a Bible verse she requested and several family sayings to make her smile.

Dogwoods and Buckeyes
Name of Maker: Jane Anne Ramey
Dogwoods and Buckeyes - This quilt was made as a wedding gift. My niece Sarah was born in Ohio and married Brent from Georgia. I chose buckeyes (in the border) to represent Sarah's place of birth and dogwoods to represent Brent's place of birth as well as where they begin their new life together (the center wreath). The nature theme is totally them--they love the outdoors.

Erika and Ryan's Wedding Quilt
Name of Maker: Julie Vermace Montgomery
Erika and Ryan's Wedding Quilt - The batik was tri colored - green, purple, white. One of their wedding colors was the ocean green and their home decor has purple. I drafted the feather cable in the border and used a feather motif from one of Alex's books for the large white sqaures. This is the first larger quilt I machine quilted. I'm definitely hooked!
