Becky's quilt - Made for my daughter Becky, whose favourite colour is pink, to take to London when she left her home in Venezuela. It turned out much better than I expected and I had a lovely time making it and then hand quilting it.

Sasha' quilt - Made as a wedding present, Sasha wanted "neutral" colors and NO stars! Bit of a nightmare, see now that double Irish Chain would have been so much better, it's a bit wishy washy. I quilted True Lover's Knots in the blank blocks, got them from Fons & Porter's Complete Guide for Quilters.

Dinos for Ethan - I purchased this wonderful fabric from Kids Fabrics, and got to it!

Rag Quilt for Mischa - A fun (and quick to make) little quilt for a cute little girl!

Mikes Table Set - I bought these funky food fabrics from Elkabee. They are so much fun!

Geisha's Daydream - This one-block wonder quilt uses hexagonal blocks made of two colorways of the print fabric "Zen Charmer". I emphasized the aqua color and tranquil motives. The complementary quilt is "Geisha's Nightmare".

Rose of Sharon block - This is the block I designed for the EQ6 Challenge. I was just learning EQ6 and thought this challenge was an opportunity to get to learn the software. I was such a rookie and somewhat computer challenged. I ended up submitting one block...It was chosen as one of 12 finalists and made into a beautiful quilt. Pansey - This quilt is the first assessment piece that I designed and made for my City and Guild level 2 Patchwork and quilting. The brief was to make a wallhanging using applique for a 'client' who liked flowers and gentle colours. I worked from photos of some flowers I had in my garden. It is the first piece that I have designed completely.

Bumble Bee Quilt - I made this quilt top in my second quilt class. We learned various types of block designs plus a few of my own creative blocks...:) I loved the black, yellow, & white fabric bundle I got from KS Quilts but had no idea what I would do with it. Well, with that bundle and a few more prints here's what I ended up with. PS..I also wanted to try out Ricky's simple flying geese technique...I love it. What a blast! I am hooked on quilting.

Tropical Kaliedoscope - The theme print, an Hawaiian shirt fabric, is used in the kaliedoscope blocks and the outer border. This was my first bed-sized quilt.

Garden Games - I made these "hopscotch" stack and slash blocks in a class with Dianne Hire. Later, I designed the slightly on point setting, and appliqued flowers at the cornerstones with digitized machine embroidery. I put some leftover blocks from Dianne's class and some log cabin blocks on the back.

Stipple Sampler - I made this quilt to practice different stipples on my new longarm, and it is the first quilt I did with the longarm. Each block is a different stipple, about half from Sharon Schamber and half from Leah Day. I designed the border with flowers and feathers.

Honu Hula - I loved this pattern. I varied the technique by using Sharon Schamber's Piecelique technique instead of the paper piecing and most of the applique method given in the pattern. The heads and legs of the two turtles at the bottom were too close in value to that of the water, so I couched dark green Perle Cotton on them to increase their visibility.

Fire Tree - This was a challenging project. I followed Sally's directions, except for the flying geese border, which I did using Jodi Barrows' Square in a Square method. That resulted in flying geese on the bias, which made precisely fitting that border much easier.

Paisley Star - I designed this quilt for an "Ugly Fabric Challenge" at Quiltique, my LQS. I machine embroidered the square setting blocks, and used the "ugly" paisley fabric for the outer border.

Imagine Like Alice - This is a wall-hanging that I've made for a raffle that will benefit educational funds for women. I was asked to incorporate Alice In Wonderland. I found some theme fabric and had fun making it up as I went along.
