Spring Has Sprung - This quilt was hand pieced and machine quilted. I hand pieced it while we were traveling in our rv in the winter of 2010. I machine quilted it this past winter 2011.

Fall Fantasy - Was cover quilt on AP&Q issue in 2007.

Under The Sea - Appliqued silk; decorative threads and beading

Flower Power - Beading over cording; couched threads

Flower Garden - Frayed edge appliqued flowers, quilted background and borders, heavy beading on flowers

My Garden

The Secret Place - "The Secret Place," inspired by the novel, "Loving Frank." There was a place in the book that described a place in prairie grasses that one of the characters loved to go to be alone. When her dad was transferred to another city and the family was packed to leave, she took a kitchen chair and an old braided rug to the spot in hopes that the next person who lived in the house would find and enjoy this place.

Sometimes I Get a Wild Hair - I made this quilt for a guild challenge. The challenge was to make a self portrait quilt. I knew I had succeeded when my son said "Wow, Mom that really looks like you."

Road to the Stars - The oriental print was my inspiration although it has rather just blended in.

Plan B - I HAD PURCHASED THE FABRIC AT THE DRAYTON VALLEY QUILT SHOW I PROMISED MYSELF TO MAKE AT LEAST 2 QUILT FRM THE BOOK I BUY THIS YEAR,SO FAR I HAVE MADE THIS ONE FRM THE BOOK . WOULD LIKE TO MAKE SHIMMER AND SHINE NEXT JUST HAVE TO GET THE FABRIC.

BQ2 - USED THE LEFT OVER FABRIC FRM MY ONE BLOCK WONDER. I REALLY LIKE THE BQ PATTERNS FOR LRG PRINTS THEY ARE EASY AND QUICK TO PIECE

John's Choice - My husband saw this fabric and commented" What can you do with that?" He likes opticial illusion quilts so I made this for him as a surprise.

Jelly Belly II - I started with two "Jelly rolls" of 40 strips each and a bolt of black fabric. Decided to let my inner child take over & see just how large of a quilt I could create.

Mini Mystery - The leader from my "Quilt & Lose" team created a Mystery challenge. I completed a mini-version and it was quite mooooo-ving!

Autumn Leaves - Machine appliqued leaves, some two dimensional, most three dimensional. Leaves were created in an embroidery hoop over water soluble foundation. I loved using my fabrics for the different colours of the leaves.

Giant Dahlia - When my daughter saw this quilt on the cover of my magazine she decided we should try it. Mind you at the time the "we" was "mom, you make it". When we lived in the same state, she showed no interest in sewing. Now that we have moved accross the country, she has begun making bags and dabbling in quilting - go figure. She chose the fabrics and helped me draft the pattern to the king size she wanted. I used trapunto in the center and also the four corners because we did not care for the applique that was used in the published quilt.
