My First Quilt - My first quilt. Tried different ways to make squares (strips, individual squares, multiple strips) and sew them together with different techniques. This is truly an experiment in quilting.

"Panic" - I named this quilt "Panic" because I had several mishaps along the way -- a great learning experience. I loved making this quilt so much and then had some fabulous quilting done on it by a long-arm quilter that I wasn't going to give up. I'm glad I didn't.

Mary Dreams of Perfect Hair - This is my alter ego "Mary"(which is my legal first name). This was done in an amazing workshop by Lola Jenkins. It is the first in a "Mary" series.

"Raindrops - Made from scraps to try pattern. Decided to try something different for quilting. I couched yarn for the quilting. Given to a friend just recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Her comment was that the lap robe was full of hugs and good wishes.

Blowing in the Wind - This quilt was started at Ricky's retreat (9/08) and finished in '09. It was an incredible journey of exploration of quilting and my own perseverence. I am thankful each day for the opportunity to make this quilt and the joy it brings me.

Red Hunter - I wanted to quilt fancy feathers in the border but chickened out, think I am scared of my BSR what a wimp I am . Made for my Hubby who loves it anyway, I want to say a big Thank You to the person who invented buttons though of course the points are all perfect behind them !!!
Pirates!

Pirates! - A part finished quilt top I bought from eBay with lots of extra fabric to go with it. It was very badly pieced and I had to take apart what had been done and re sew it. I bought it to practise on the Nolting midarm. A photo of the back and a close up of the pirate,treasure map, gold coins, treasure chests and skull and crossbones fabric can be seen in my personal album.

Mini Trip Around the World - As a beginning quilter in 1997 I wanted to make a miniature quilt. After purchaseing Terrie's book in 2010, I have finally made one.
Shar's baby quilt

Shar's baby quilt - I put the two quilt blocks together to try to get some movement in the design. I did the outside green/white plaid border on the bias which was a new thing for me, after lots of starch it worked quite well.

Winter Scene - Just after I had started to learn patchwork and quilting I saw this book by Nancy Zieman and Natalie Sewell called Landscape Quilts and got thoroughly hooked on it.

Coral Seas - I believed I was making this quilt pattern up because I cut my own templates out of cardboard etc and then when I completed it I saw the pattern everywhere. I suppose it is a common layout.

North Berwick Witches - My daughter was just finishing her Masters degree on the North Berwick Witch Hunts. I purchased this kit and adapt it by adding another border with the names of the accused.

Punkin Patch

Punkin Patch - This was the project for Alex Anderson's 2009 Quilt Retreat in Livermore, CA. Most people went with a Christmas theme but I decided to go the Fall route. And I found a fat quarter set (Gobble Gobble by Moda) that I just loved.
