Elegant Star
Name of Maker: Brenda Peplinskie
Elegant Star - I fell in love with this quilt. Most of the quilting on it is 1/2 inch apart. I was inspired to do this after taking a machine quilting course from Harriet Hargrave at the 2008 Vermont Quilt Festival. It was very intense and took well over a month to do. The first time I did a scalloped edge.

The Neverending U.F.O.
Name of Maker: Susan McFarland
The Neverending U.F.O. - I saw this quilt on Simply Quilts and started it in (I think) 2003. At that time the "Y" seam was WAY out of my skill level. I switched to a paper-pieced version of the same blocks. This quilt took me years to complete as the paper-pieced version of a lemoyne star is a little bit tedious. Worked out well because there's a bigger variety of scraps when you drag it out over so many years!
Cruise quilt
Name of Maker: John Miller
Cruise quilt - hand stitched patchwork. Machine quilted. Started on the balcony during a summer 2009 cruise around the Med. fantastic memories associated with the quilt. Really pleased with result as made up from scraps.
Jelly roll 2
Name of Maker: john miller
Jelly roll 2 - most of top was completed at a one day jelly roll course in Weymouth. really like the colours and the triangular shapes. Took ages for me to get round to finishing it, but pleased with the outcome.
Crazy Christmas
Name of Maker: john miller
Crazy Christmas - top nearly quilted in one day at my first ever quilt class in Weymouth, UK. Of course, it only comes out at christmas !
pentridge quilt
Name of Maker: john miller
pentridge quilt - This was the first quilt I ever made. I bit off far too much than I could chew, as I set out to make a quilt for a double bed. I hand pieced the centre panel, which took forever, then machine sewed strips around the panel so I could get it finished. I think it took a year from beginning to end. Pleased with the outcome, even if some of the patches are a bit wonky. On reflection, I dont like the colours and patterns that I chose on the material, but at least they match the curtains and carpet. didnt know about kaffe fassett material then.......
Jack, Shooting Star
Name of Maker: Peg Tomaszek, Tosca
Jack, Shooting Star - Baby quilt made for my nephew with Mother Goose fabric.
Untitled
Name of Maker: Miles661ca
Untitled - I guess this is about the only traditional (?) quilt I've ever attempted, and it certainly is the largest. Any input on what category this quilt falls into would be appreciated.

Puppies for Cadence
Name of Maker: Robbie Olsen
Puppies for Cadence - The puppy blocks were appliqued on my embroidery machine. The sashing and border were pieced from the same fabric that was used in the appliques. I made this for one of my "dog friends" who finally had her first 2-footed baby.

Windy, Chilly, Breezy
Name of Maker: marit
Windy, Chilly, Breezy - The snowman panel which is the center of this quilt is Henry fabric of the same name. It is the first quilt that I machine quilted. I designed the borders and corners around the winter theme, and included quilted pine trees in the borders. All of the snowmen and center designs have been machine embroidered with my Janome 6600 machine.

For Linda - My first stack and whack attempt made out of curtain fabric given to me by a friend. The design was just perfect for stack and whack. I can't help myself. I love it.
Starry night for Pip
Name of Maker: Pamelasb
Starry night for Pip - Blue for a boy. Minimum quilting. If I had my time over again with this quilt I would definitely overquilt it. Only way to go.
Teddy Bears Picnic
Name of Maker: pamelasb
Teddy Bears Picnic - I started this quilt for my third grandchild when she was 3 years old. It was finished for her 11th birthday. I am a loving grandmother but can be quite tardy when it comes to handwork. But I was working full time then. However, the quilt is loved.
