ICE Train to Amsterdam - This quilt is made entirely of Dutch Reproduction fabrics from Den Haan and Wagenmakers, Amsterdam the Netherlands. It is comprised of three simple, nine patch blocks. When the blocks are set together, a dramatic overall design emerges. I think it captures the look of Delft blue china perfectly.
Keukenhof Tulips - This quilt is made entirely of Dutch Reproduction fabrics from Den Haan and Wagenmakers in Amsterdam the Netherlands. I designed this quilt using three distinctive tulip blocks that when set side by side, create an overall star pattern. This quilt is featured in the book, Quilt A Travel Souvenir published by the American Quilter's Society.
Tropical Flying Geese - I used commercial batiks from Hoffman to create this yummy quilt that reminds me of tropical fruits! The flying geese units were rotary cut and sewn using the Easy Star and Geese Ruler -- there is no math, no wasted fabric, and best of all, no stress! It is quilted with a continuous pineapple and complimentary leafy design which completes the tropical feeling of the quilt beautifully.
Sawtooth Stars and Flying Geese - This quilt was made using the new Easy Star and Geese Ruler that I designed. It makes cutting and sewing the flying geese units fast and super simple. I made this quilt in just a few hours using commercial batiks by Hoffman. I wanted to capture a feeling of the tropics in the Caribbean.
Rock Gardene - Since the colors and foliage I wanted was not available, I scanned in pictures, Photoshopped the colors and shapes and printed on colorfast fabric.
Fun at the Lake - Ragg Quilt that I added embroidered blocks my Grandson picked out. Center block is a picture my husband took of our Grandson fishing on our boat and I took it and digitized it and embroidered for him.
Summer Daze - I made this quilt using a new tool I designed, the Easy Star and Geese Ruler, which is just being manufacured and launched by EZ Wrights. The fabrics are by RJR -- the Summer Daze line. This quilt was loads of fun to make, and with the ruler, there is no math needed to make the flying geese and no fabric waste!
Hand Dyed Dresden - My first creation using my hand-dyed fabric. Due to the somewhat rough quality of the fabric makes the blue borders look like swede. Some fabric was less than lovely so I over-dyed it, cut and resewed it to a somewhat crazy-quilt background.
Dream Garden - Guild challenge to use fabric with roses and irises. Blocks placed on point, gold lattice work Applique loose flowers on top, beaded details
Southwest Pueblo - I created this quilt to showcase my Southwast Vistas whole cloth pattern. I was fascinated with Taos Pueblo. Desert plants, wildlife and rock formations evoke memories of vacations in “Arches” and “Bryce.”
Kauai Inspiration - Kauai Inspiration began in early January while in Kapaa. It is my first Asian Wall Hanging. It features hand and machine quilting as well as Sashiko Embroidery. It is hand beaded with imported glass, crystal and semi-precious stones.
