Vegetable Man - Vietnamese hand embroidery incorporated in a quilt with seminole piecing and half squares.

Pinwheel Patches - This quilt seemed to take forever! I never intended it to be as large as it is, but it just seemed to keep growing. I love pinwheels and and thrilled with how it turned out.

Kamdyn's Quilt - I made this quilt for my great-nephew's new baby.

A Ray of Sunshine - I took a Melinda Bula class in Houston this fall. It was wonderful! This is the quilt that came came from that class. I love it. It's going to be a Christmas present for my son's girlfriend's mom. It's fused, thread painted and embellished by home sewing machine by me.

MP's Birthday Quilt - I wanted to make a special quilt for my friends' son on his 3rd birthday! He LOVED playing with my charm quilt here at the house, which is ridiculous and crazy-colorful! So - I made him his own crazy-colorful scrappy quilt! He LOVES it!

What if the Navajo Used Green? - This quilt was inspired by traditional Navajo Rugs and their bold, geometric designs. I wanted to embrace a totally wild color scheme, to see how the design elements would shine with bright and bold gusto! The contest required 2 block formats in the quilt: Sawtooth Star and Log Cabin. I created both the skewed sawtooth stars and the deconstructed log cabin blocks (in the border) with EQ5. I LOVE this program!!! All machine pieced. Marvin - This was made for my daughter Rachel and my first grandson, Zander - soon to be arriving in Jan 2010. As a kid, Rachel always loved Marvin the Martian. When she was in high school, she found Van Gogh's paintings and in particular, "Starry Night". This is my attempt to bring her two favorites together. It was given to her at her baby shower in November.

Rainbow Lullaby - This is my first quilt. I made it for my nephew's daughter. It was a kit which I adapted by replacing the appliqued leaves with butterflies using Bea Oglesby's technique.

Flip-Flop Fun - Just a fun applique quilt I made for my 4 year old great niece. I used scraps from my growing fat quarter stash. It is a fast, fun and easy pattern for a new quilter. I machined quilted it and finished the quilt in about 2 weeks. Not bad for a novice!

Snuggle Bunny - I made this for my newborn great nephew. It was great practice for piecing flying geese units, square in a square and sawtooth stars. It was made using Woolies flannel....so soft. I've been told that this is being used daily. He loves it!I

The Very Hungry Caterpillar - This was made for my 3 year old great niece. Just lots of fun. Very easy and fast. Lots of printed panels and was just a matter of adding border after border. I also included a copy of the book by Eric Carlyle and a stuffed caterpillar.

Face of Inspiration - Realistic fabric portrait. I took an online class from QuiltUniversity.com. Marilyn Belford was the instructor. She is phenomenal. Her technique uses minimal quilting and even people like myself who don't draw freehand can make something amazing.
