Triple Feathered Star
Name of Maker: Sally Pelikan
Triple Feathered Star - Made for Sara & Eddie's wedding in March 2005. The subtitle of the book is "Really hard blocks that take a long time to make" and boy is that accurate! The "feathers" around the smallest block are 3/8" finished! This has been my most elaborate quilt to date and I feel that it is my masterwork so far. I am so pleased that they use this quilt - we had to remove the cat hairs before it could hang in the show and I LOVE that! Quilts, at least my quilts, are made to be used!
Twin Chantelles
Name of Maker: Sally Pelikan
Twin Chantelles - I taught Caveman Piecing at a LQS and had to make 2 shop samples (2 shops). You know that every time you make 1 chantelle you are really making 2. So, these were the second chantelles. I did some free form applique and lots of quilting. Turned out really cool!
