An Irishman's Road to Home - We all know that an Irishman's Road to Home is never straight - always another bend! (Need to see what's around the corner) This is a flip/flop templet - something different to learn - fun!

Kaleidiscope????? - From a class project in strip piecing - blocks were turned around to connect the greens -this was the idea of my son in law. Great colors can't get far away from GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're Turning Violet, Violet! - Attending the Ricky Tims Super Quilt Seminar in Livermore in 2008 and also inspired by Ricky's Quilt Show episode, I was intrigued by the process of making this quilt. I usually plan everything in advance and it was a challenge for me to "be suprised" and let the design happen. I really enjoyed the process of seeing it evolve. A very fun quilt to make. Thanks to the Show and Tell, it motivated me to complete it. Loved the process....thanks so much!

This bargello circle was made in a Quilt University class with teacher Ruth Blanchett.  The size is 54"X54", pieced and quilted, with a small medallion rose in the middle.

Greensleeves - Another of the Christmas Quilt project - can't get away from green - love the design of this one

We'll Never Forget - I made this quilt for the first anniversary of 9 11. I had fabric that had NYC with the Twin Towers and Washington, DC. To commemorate the third site, I used the term "Let's Roll". I used bobbin drawing (that I learned from Libby Lehman) to do the writing. It was displayed at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Charleston for the first anniversary of 9 11.

Kool Explosion - This was begun when Ricky taught the Kool Kaleidoscope class in Charleston. I wanted to make mine larger and he suggested that I put partial kaleidoscopes in the four corners. It took several years to find the right border fabric. It was quilted by me on my Viking Sapphire in a custom designed table. I used my favorite thread--Superior, of course. I used Rainbows(802, 836, 831, and 841 with Art Studio 110 and Highlights 748 in the border. I used Masterpiece 154 in the bobbin. It is bound with piped binding.

Tulip Stars - I won the BOM at my guild in July 2007. I did not want the quilt to shout Christmas so I bordered it with tulips on a black background. The quilting is improvizational. It is completed with piped binding.

Freedom - I made this quilt in honor of my father and the other men who served in the Korean War and survived being in a prison camp.

Its a Spring Thing - Wholecloth beaded quilt inspired by flowers in my spring garden

Scintillate, Scintillate - My Jinny Beyer Palette Challenge Finalist entry 2008, original design based on starts within stars, distorts and combines the traditional lost ship and nine patch blocks.

Jacobean Rebellion - Needle turn applique Miniature quilt pays tribute to the embroidered art of the Jacobean period of English history.

All in a Pickle - Foundation pieced scrappy quilt in blues and creams, this is one of my favourite quilts to sleep under!

The Brown Quilt - I attended a Ricky Timms work shop in Northern Ireland and he taught us this pattern. Some of the gold fabrics I used would fray very easily so I have mounted the quilt on the wall up my home staircase.

The Lemon and Brown Quilt - I use this quilt to keep me warm whilst I'm watching TV and sewing at night.

In Memory of Ethel Mae - This is my very first commissioned quilt and my first attempt at free motion feathers. Many thanks to Ricky Tims and Diane Gaudynski for their inspiring works.
