Crazy Little Thing Called Love - Made for a "Black and white and red all over" Challenge thru Keepsake Quilting. It took Honorable Mention! I was very pleased!!
Midwest Harvest - Made as a raffle quilt for the DeKalb County Quilt Guild. We're in northern Illinois and I wanted to celebrate our farming heritage. www.dcqg.org
My Angel pillow - Used pattern to create the angel's dress, wings, and halo, and used a picture of my daughter for the angel's face (appliqued). Made for my mother-in-law.
Go Cal! - Was going to do Eleanor Burns' Tossed nine-patch but got lazy and neither cut nor tossed the nine-patch blocks. Gift to my Berkeley professor uncle.
Spike's Baby Quilt - Designed for great-nephew, the front is black/white/red (mom's favorite colours) and the back is orange/black (dad is colourblind but likes orange!).
Dave & Joanne's Quilt - This is a wedding celebration quilt. I like the woven metaphor for married life - lots of ins and outs and round and round; together is a beautiful thing.
Taggies - These little beauties are designed for the tags - the soft, cuddly labels or tags that babies seem to love. They have to be given in pairs - so there's one ready for use when the other is in the wash :)
Autumn Geometrics - Inspired by John Willard's teaching in his Summer 2008 Spontaneous Geometrics, at the Thames Institute of the Arts in Chatham ON. Completed two tops in the class, created a few more after in autumn themes.
