Love Saves the Day - A bright quilt made during a dark NY winter.

Pinky Round Robin - This quilt was created by three of us in a Round Robin group, I am just getting around to quilting it!

Beachcomber - This is an original quilt I designed for a class I taught at a local quilt shop. It's a two block quilt with pieced borders. This is the third time I've made a quilt using this pattern and this one is destined for a friend who loves the beach.

Sweet Treat Yellow Blue Road

Monsignor - I designed this quilt for Monsignor Cooke as a retirement present. I was inspired by the Thimbleberry's Tuxedo line of fabric.

Fall Menswear - The warm look of this menswear quilt resonated with me so much that I had to make it. I had no idea how to quilt, I just pieced it the best I could and quilted in straight lines.

Lilac's Convergence - Enhanced Convergence quilt with raw edge applique.

Quilt Show Grid Lock - I made this quilt for a store challenge, where we had to use subway map of New York and the border print fabric. Link to picture of the two challenge fabrics: http://thequilter.wordpress.com/2009/01/30/quilting-challenge-weapons-of-choice/. The tassles are hanging vehicles filled with fabric hanging out. I thought of the title because I was using girdle grips as part of the hanging cars. I won but I couldn't get the prize because it was my challenge.

Windmills - This is a childs size quilt. Fabric is a mixture of 9 different shades of pink fabric and 3 black and white fabrics. Pinwheels are appliqued on top and the back is the applique outline of all the pinwheels with a coloured centre in each.

Mexican Rainforest - I used mexican fabrics I bought in San Diego in 2001 whilst on vacation with my 3 children. I was so glad I'd kept them for 'that special project' so when Ricky was over visiting NI I used them in this quilt along with one of Ricky's batiks.

Tulips - I made this quilt at a Stained Glass Window workshop a few years back. Its the only one I've made using this technique. I put it in a pine picture frame because the gold fabric is delicate and will probably fray as time goes on.

Bunch of Flowers - I attended a work shop on Circles. I cut crazy circles and proper circles then quartered them then sewed them back together. It was fun to do and very effective.

Hearts & Stars - I bought this quilt as a kit but changed it as I went along. It should have been a lot larger but smaller is nicer. I love the country colours of the fabric and it hangs well in my home.

Be Vigilant - I had breast cancer 12 years ago and had cancer of the uterus almost 3 years ago. I decided to make a cancer series and started with this one. Pink is not my color but what else can you make a breast quilt out of?

Scrappy Stripes - My daughter moved to New York in Sept 2008 and I made her this quilt for Christmas from all the scraps lying around my sewing room. She says she can visualise all the quilts I've ever made from the various pieces of fabric and it reminds her of home. I bought red brushed cotton and brought it round to the front so it is soft and warm against her face.

Hope Everything Will Work Itself Out - When I had my second major surgery, it was Passover time and all I coul eat was Matzah, which was making me very constipated! As I tried to do laps around my dining room table, working up from once around to maybe 5 times around, my daughter-in-law said she hope everything would work itself out. Meaning: I would be able to walk normally again. In my brain, the picture of this quilt automatically popped up: and here it is!

u + i = Wii - This is a wedding quilt I made for our daughter and her new husband, who is a math major (and they love black and white). It has a large signature block on the back so everyone at the wedding can sign. I used the scraps to make 2 couch pillows for their red sofa. A very fun and fast project with a lot of impact.
