mosaic monkeys - back - Makes it really easy to include the label as part of the quilt. Wish I'd thought of it for the first one. Actually wish I'd finished either of them in time to enter the competitions.

Hope's baby quilt - 52" Round baby quilt, machine pieced and hand-quilted. Various NY themed fabrics. Continuous bias binding used to make circle.

With This Ring - A Wedding gift for my niece. This wedding ring was made using John Flynn's templates, a great way to do this traditional block! The wedding was on the beach in Seattle and the honeymoon was in Hawaii, so I used batik fabrics and quilted hibiscus flowers into the centers of the rings with sea shells in the connecting areas.

Flower Garden for Scott - Benartex Flower Show II fabrics used to create the perfect garden. No weeding, watering or maintenance...just spectacular blooms.

Afternoon Delight - Dramatic quilt using flying geese. Fun and easy!!!

Untitled - I made this quilt in an online class, to learn how to quilt using my embrodiery module instead of doing free motion quilting.

Wedding Gift - Made is neutrals with some white thrown in. When asked what they registered for I found creams, ivorys and such, so that is when I started looking for something in Neutrals. This was perfect and it's queen size.

Dreaming of the Islands - I worked on this during the cold months of winter, so I used sunny colors. Once I added the blue that resembled water, I started thinking about tropical shapes and came up with several ideas for the applique - dolphins, palm trees, shells, starfish, waves, etc. The curves were quite a challenge for me and I had to hand sew some of it in order to get it flat. All that blanket stitching with decorative threads was fun.

Answering the Call - A MN Quilt show challenge entry. It uses an applique wolf (printed panel piece) in answer to the northern lights dancing in the sky.

Past Meets Present - MN quilt show challenge. The past of railroads and windmills. The present of interstates and wind towers.

The Gift - The gift was my second exploration of wind. We are seeing many new wind towers in SW Minnesota and so this is a current look at the gift of wind.

Snapshots of Tuscany - Original design inspired by the Tuscan Wildflowers fabrics by Robert Kaufman. Created for their 2007 Challenge. The quilt was part of their traveling exhibit for a year.
