A Quilters Journey - This quilt kit included the pattern and the fabric. I made it my goal to match every seam and have perfect points. The blocks were both pieced and paper pieced.
Emma's graduation quilt - Made for my niece's high school graduation from Amy Butler fabrics. We had see a similar one at Cabbage Rose in Fort Worth, and she fell in love with it.
Milly in the Garden of My Friends - This quilt was made from a picture of my Daughter from her first ballet recital. I also used pictures of flowers from my friends' gardens.
Embroidered silk quilt - 25 block quilt on silk dupioni using King Tut variegated thread;
Used embroidery designs from Diane Gaudynski and Sharon Schamber;
Quilted in the hoop using a quilt as you go technique.
Fancy Stitchin - 25 block quilt;
Applique in the hoop on an embroidery sewing machine;
Fabric is 11 different batiks, plus a black sashing;
24 different embroidery threads;
embroidery by machine to simulate crazy quilting;
quilted in the ditch using King Tut variegated thread.
Christmas 2006 - Almost every shade of green imaginable in Batiks was incorporated into this quilt--accented with reds, pinks, and purple--this was my second Christmas quilt.
Doctor Who - My Granddaughter is a "Whovian". As a graduation from High School gift, I made her this quilt. The paper piecing was very intricate and some blocks took more than 6 hours to complete. I included 2 pieces of fabric printed and sold by Spoonflower. This fabric "made" the quilt. My setting is orignal.
One Block Wonder - This quilt is made up of a many hexagons, cut in kaleidoscope style from one fabric. I took liberty with creation of a blended border incorporating use of applique from the main piece flowing into the borders.
Tea Time - Started in a workshop taught by Rose Hughes in 2004. Finished in 2007, in time to be included in her book, Fast Pieced Applique, as student work. my own hand dyed fabrics were used.
2004 Challenge Quilt - Made for the guild challenge in 2004. It got a 3rd place ribbon for something. My hand dyed fabrics went with the challenge fabric quite well.
2005 Challenge Quilt - Made for the guild challenge in 2005. My hand dyed fabrics went with the challenge fabric well. Applique was cut out with a die cutter.
