Dragonfly - Marjan Kluepfel came to our guild and taught the technique. This was pieced in an afternoon, and finished in a weekend. I echo quilted on my standard machine.
Art Nu Ladies in the Window - This was an original design by one of our guild members, Linda Paladino, who taught this class using Cheryl Phillips circle piecing technique.
Anniversary Quilt - This was made for my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary. It's a variation of Pina Colorada, which is a variation of Reflections, by Shelly Burge. I got pretty tired of blues and white; I prefer wilder colors. But they seem to like it.
Crossed Paths - This was done from the book Watercolor Quilts and the quilt was designed by Donna Ingram Slusser.
It measures about 60"x60".
This quilt hangs in the entry of my house up on the second floor level, hence the light and my husbands deer. It was one of the very first things to come into our house when it was built and I love it as much now as the day it was hung.
I'll Be Home For Christmas- If Only In Your Dreams - This was the first quilt I've ever made in my life, made for Ami Simms Alzheimers Priority Art Quilt Initiative & was made in memory of my Mother who died of Alzheimers on 3-11-05. It was sold at the Houston Quilt Festival to raise money for Alzheimers Research.
Lifes Crooked Road - Made for Ami Simms Alzheimers Priority Art Quilt Initiative. Top to Bottom, when we are born our life is a bit "wavey", then we grow and, hopefully, grow straight & true, then if Alzheimers hits us our lives become wavey and crooked, all over again.
Roly Poly Redwork - When I saw the reprint of the Roly Poly Animals I knew I had to do them for a future granchild. They were done for a few years and I collected lots of red fabric before I decided on the triple Irish Chain pattern to set them in.
DWR - Started this queen size quilt as a wedding present for my son and his wife. It is entirely hand pieced and hand quilted and it took me 3 years of almost daily work to finish. They received it on their 2nd anniversary!!
