The Birth of Logic
Name of Maker: Marilyn Altenbach
The Birth of Logic - I LOVE labyrinths! It was quite a challenge to make this highly structured form from the coiled wrapped closeline technique. After it was formed: how to get it under the needle to sew it!! It evolved into this organic form that needed it's own showcase. The tail reminded me of an umbilical cord...hence the name.
Connectivity
Name of Maker: Mary Anne Strauss
Connectivity - The secondary patterns that emerged as blocks were turned, reminded me of how we are all connected. I believe it is important to focus on our similarities and connectivity, rather than on our differences in order to have a more peaceful journey through life. Embellishments inspired by Libby Lehman.
Curvy Cabin

Spring - This quilt was made for a school fundraiser . The blocks are made by second graders, then I put it together adding the sashing & borders. It was alot of fun just looking at the art work while I quilted. The auction is not for another week I hope it does well.
