Maddy's Advent Calendar - Each day was embroidered on netting then an elastic loop and back was glued together. String of small lights and a gold garland were strung across the tree which was drawn free hand. The presents under the tree hold the individuals items until the day in December arrives, then it is added to the tree and hung on the bells. Each bell and each item has a number attached.

Debbie's 12 days of Christmas - The 12 Day of Christmas were embroidered in 1996 using designs from Buzz Tools. It took me 12 years to figure out how to do it and getting around to doing it. It took a couple of weeks to get the strips the right height and width and then another week to quilt.

Five Generations - I made this framed quilted wallhanging using manipulated photos and mini picture frames with little pictures of other family members. I also used the holographic technique - printing on organza and laying it over the image that was printed on white cotton. This was a gift for a 50th birthday and includes pictures of 5 generations.

KoKoPeli - I made this quilt totally from southwest batiks. It turned out bright and colorful.

Ying & Yang - This quilt was featured on the cover of Mark Lipinski's Quilter's Home Magazine. It turned out great and is quilted with bright red thread.

Rainy Day Reading Quilt - Amy's pattern is available free on her website. I used two different size of rectangles and added a border on the long edges. I stitched in the ditch for the quilting, though, being new and not knowing any better. I started from the middle and went out, following the offset seams, to the edges. I like how it came out, but I think I'd do it a little differently next time.

On Their Wedding Day - My friend LouAnn Christie in Oxnard, CA and I, Harrisburg, MO, wanted to make a quilt for a mutual friend for her wedding. I had always wanted to do the quilt “On Their Wedding Day” from the book “Say It With Quilts” by Laura Nownes and Diana McClun. LouAnn pieced some of the blocks and the pieced border. We decided to add the additional border and adjust the size of the pieced border. I used the quilting in the pattern as a reference and added trapunto in the feather wreaths and feather border. This quilt was executed on a non-stitch regulated machine and all work was performed from the back of the machine with rulers and a lot of blue markings.

Rambling Rose - Pattern designed by Pat Sloan for the AP&Q April 2004 issue. It was a UFO I finished last fall. Yeah!

Thistle Rose - I wandered into the world of wool and fell in love with it's rich texture. It's a joy to work with. I designed this quilt because I love folk art and Jacobean style quilts and enjoyed every minute of it.

Eliezer's quilt - I made this in honor of my brother-in-law's discharge from the Israeli Army. Thank you Eliezer!

Sara's quilt - It took over half a year to make this for my baby daughter. The design completely matches her personality! The hand-quilting motif in the center was inspired by the Amish medallion quilts, but I copied the exact shape from a cookbook.

Fifty, Fabulous, and Fun! - A photo quilt built into a pieced background. The outer areas are traditionally pieced and the background is flip-n-sew. The actual photo, tree trunk, and roots are appliqued. Leaved are fabric snips. The hammock is combination photo and perle cotton thread. This quilt was a lot of fun to make!
