Sharing Blueberries - Machine applique using technique taught by Marilyn Belford in Realistic Fabric Portraits. Photo taken of my grandson and dog both of whom were 18 months old. Steven is sharing his blueberries with Katie the dog.

Rhododendron - Paper pieced hexagon flowers. Free form curved piecing of the leaves. I tried to show the luminosiry of the flowers as the light hits the petals.

self portrait #1 - This is my third thread painting quilt and I am still in the beginnings of the learning process. I am experimenting with layering and mixing the thread like paint, so far, my vision has eluded me, but I persevere out of pure delight in the process!

Purple Fantasy - This quilt was designed on EQ6 with the help of my boss, Charlotte , who owns the fabric shop that I work in part-time. I just wanted to use these fabrics because she was about to put them in her "clearance corner".

Floral Fireworks - This is a close-up of part of the art quilt - Floral Fireworks. The flower petals were made from a base fabric that I had woven from 9 different fabrics. Angelina Fibers and beads are at the center of the flower. Stitching and yarns enclose the outside of the flower petal.

Prairie Petals - As I stitched Terry's original design I wanted to put these blocks on point and add sashing. Prairie Petals is the result.

Quilt 'til you wilt! - This was a challenge for the www.llqg.org (my local guild). We were given black solid, yellow solid, and the black and white swirl fabrics. The challenge required a dimensional element. I found the free tulip pattern on http://thimble-art.com/?cat=4 and then added my own versions of a wilting tulip along with dimensional tulips to accent the theme, "Quilt 'til you wilt". I won third place in our challenge.

Did Jacob Dream in Color? - Inspired by the biblical story of Jacob's ladder in Genesis and the description in Revelation of the New Jerusalem.

Max's Vista Del Mar - I made this baby quilt for Max's mother because we share a love of the sea and snorkeling. We both love the magic of being underwater, watching the sea bursting with life and color. Also, we both resent being landlocked and so faraway from the sea. I have known Max's mother since she was an infant so it was a double pleasure.

Wedding Ring Wall Quilt - This quilt features machine appliqued "rings", and is quilted by machine with my own feather design.

Thank you! - We received such hospitality - they gave their house, while they were not there, for us to use while my mother in law was dying. They actually don't know me. They only know of me.

Maria's Quilt - A triple Irish Chain made with red roses and the chain with yellow, green, and the red rose material.

Back of Maria's Quilt - The back is comprised of extra strips from the Irish chain and bright greens & yellows.

Paul And Sara's Quilt - Queen size double wedding ring quilt using green & blue batiks. I used Sharlene Jorgenson's templates.
