Walkies in the Twilight Zone
Name of Maker: Brenn Colson
Walkies in the Twilight Zone - This is another "In the Twilight Zone" quilt. The technique for this one was stamping and painting. I traced my own foot then actually put my dog's foot on a gold ink pad and stamped her foot on there! Then I inked up my shoe and put it over my foot pattern. That's real blue fingernail polish on my toes - ha! I love the metal-and-bead "ribbon".
TriRyche for L and B
Name of Maker: Brenn Colson
TriRyche for L and B - I made this for a couple I know from our love for the band, Queensryche. This is their logo. In all the light coloured squares I single line stitched their album covers.
Octopus' Garden
Name of Maker: Brenn Colson
Octopus' Garden - An art quilt I started at Quilting Adventures in Texas, 2008. I took a fusing class from Sue Benner. This puppy is fused and layered and beaded and all kinds of wild stuff. I took my image inspirations from a picture book called "Reefs".
Winter Wonderland
Name of Maker: Penny Marble
Winter Wonderland - I originally wanted to do a winter scape theme and purchased the variety of blues, greys and silvers, but when we looked at it, it was too flat, so we added the greens and yellows/golds to spice things up a bit. I love how it turned out.
Celebrate!
Name of Maker: Penny Marble
Celebrate! - I purchased a bunch of jewel tones for a Project Linus quilt and thought they would be great to use in a Kaleidoscope. I was so thrilled with how the center medallion turned out, I did 1/2 sized 3/4 kaleidoscopes to use as the cornerstones! OK, yes, I get obsessed with this stuff!

Mommy's Home
Name of Maker: Eileen Jonat
Mommy's Home - I entered this 12" X 12" for Quilting Arts' 2008 Calendar challenge (home-house theme). It shows the 6 dogs that my husband and I have rescued over the years. It was get great fun putting this together but alas, I didn't make into the calendar.

Lollipop Quilt - I made this as a rag quilt for a baby. I appliquéd different sizes of circles onto the blocks.
Snow Family
Name of Maker: Lauren
Snow Family - This was designed by Pearl Louise Krush in 2004 and I loved it enough to buy enough fabric to make 3 of them. I plan to make more in this series.

Peacocks in Paradise
Name of Maker: Elsie Vredenburg
Peacocks in Paradise - I added appliques cut out from the fabric to Ricky's Harmonic Convergence pattern for this 2008 Hoffman Challenge entry.
convergence number 3
Name of Maker: anne carter
convergence number 3 - Number 3. I enjoyed the bright colours of this one. I used commercial hand dyed and a batik that resembled palm trees, so I quilted palm trees onto it. I added piping to the inside border.
convergence in the jungle
Name of Maker: anne carter
convergence in the jungle - number 4 made with commercial batiks. I loved the forest feel to this one and an elephant "appeared" on the right as if coming from behind trees. Other people have seen other creatures in it too. I enhanced the "trunk" and "eyes" with tiny gold beads and will probably add more beads. I used Ricky's method of very fine piping before the binding.
African Crazy
Name of Maker: VannaD
African Crazy - My 3rd Crazy quilt. I made it for my father who loves rich African colors.
