Geese and Feathers
Name of Maker: quiltnutt
Geese and Feathers - I love the abstract and flowing lines that this has. I also tried using Ricki's thread for reverse machine quilting. Love the effect. I machined quilted the piece on my Longarm and home machine for piecing. I used bright Bali's and veragated thread.

Phalaenopsis On The Cellular Level
Name of Maker: Ruth A. White
Phalaenopsis On The Cellular Level - Beginning life as a test for an improvised technique of neo-reverse appliquiltliqué to let the light shine through a single layer of glowing china silk, ‘Phalaenopsis On The Cellular Level’ evolved into a stylized plant cell. It is but a single cell in a multitude that makes up an elegant, silken blossom. Can you identify the chloroplasts, rough endoplasmic reticulum, and golgi bodies?
