Halo Medallion Quilt

I started this quilt in 2017 and had kept up with the BOM until we had a house  fire on Sept. 14th, 2017. My quilt top was almost finished but I was unable to salvage it. I started over with a new kit, but by this time we had decided to purchase a king size bed so I knew I would need extra fabric. I worked on it as often as I could with all the shopping etc. we were doing to find a new place to live. The hardest part was trying to figure out how to add the extra inches without ruining the design. In November of 2018, two friends help sandwich the quilt at a retreat because I had no place large enough to do it at home. It took 8 months on my B770QE to quilt it against the advice of many people, but I plugged away and am satisfied with the results. Since I turned 80 in the process, it will be my final large quilt.
