michy11 I bought an old Mad men style office chair on ebay for $10  and  wanted to recover it. But all I had was  1/2 metre of  robert Kaufman fabric that I fell in love with and bought 2 years ago. Not quite enough to cover a chair. So  I used my applique skills to improvise. On the seat , appliqued a wreath of hearts on a black background and I am happy with the results. 
I now have a great sewing chair for very little money.
