she-quilts I made this quilt using fabrics in my stash to donate to my friend who serves as a missionary in Honduras. She & her husband minister to the Honduran pastors and support them with Christmas gifts of clothing, school supplies, and needed household items as well as operate feeding centers and training for local jobs for the Honduran adults and orphans.
I made this with lots of love to share with someone I don't know. I wish I could deliver this in person and give a hug along with the quilt!
The pattern is from the In Color Order website and it is a great pattern, Giant Vintage Star Quilt. The piecing goes together very quickly and my mind and hands just had a lot of fun with the quilting using a Superior Threads variegated thread in bronzes & golds. All hand-guided quilting, freehand quilting on my HQ Fusion long-arm machine.
(The quilt lays flat... I didn't have time to mount for a proper photo so this is the non-professional-held-by-husband photo! :) )
