judylyon Chinese Pandas - As I sat listening to news of the Earthquakes in China I felt inspired to draw a Panda pattern. Exploring photos of these seemingly, roly-poly animals was warm and fun – not at all like the awful situation in Asia. I ended up drawing both a vertical and horizontal panto. I wanted the Vertical Panda-Bamboo” for my quilt. I was excited about piecing it on the long-arm machine. I put together the strips of bamboo leaves and the strips of lanterns, then “pieced” it all together on the machine. It was fun albeit a bit of a challenge.
