Angel9 Ancient Equus - Inspired by a photograph taken of a section of tiled flooring while visiting the ancient Roman baths in Bath, England. I loved the image of the horse that was originally created in mosaic tiles by a very skilled craftsman so many centuries ago. I drew the outline of the image on 100% cotton and using fabric paint and a small brush, I began the process of painting each individual “tile”. Simple echo quilting on my domestic machine was all that was needed to complete the piece.
