Design Source - Description | This quilt is made to commentate storms that affect Fl and Al. The whirling represents the tornadoes that hit Al. regularly, and the fabric and quilting represent Fl., which is prone to hurricanes. Each spike has a shell quilted into it and the rest of the quilt has palm trees, sailboats, seagulls, flamingos, both printed in the fabric and quilted. The flamingos have 5 mm black onyx beads for eyes to draw attention to them. The back of the quilt has frogs playing in the fabric to represent new life after the hurricane. |
