sssewr Xavier's Lone Star - I started this quilt in a weeklong workshop and completed the entire middle section and brown border seven years ago. I didn't know how I wanted to quilt it, so I hung it in the closet. When I decided how I wanted to quilt it, I did most of the quilting, but didn't know how to embellish the large setting squares, so it went back to the closet. When Xavier moved from a crib to a bed, I knew it would be for him and decided to applique large cowboy boots in each corner. After a trip to Houston for the show in 2012 and being unable to find a suitable stencil, I just traced my own boot, and put a stitching design on it. He finally got it for his 4th birthday in March. He loves it and sleeps under it every night.
