MarieJoerger Kaleidoscope d'la Ricky!! - This was made for a challenge with a few of my friends. We were given beautiful batiks and natural and browns and told to make a quilt 16" sq min. using some part all given batiks in the quilt front. I added the bright colored fabric to add interest. I also used a technique I was taught by Hollis Chatelain at the Houston Quilt Show this year, note the fluorescent embroidery floss I used to couch along some of the seams and to add the finishing touch along the outer edge.
