The Learning Quilt - Part of my series of primarily one color quilts, the central medallion of The Learning Quilt was based on a friend's pewter necklace and the quilt grew from there. I learned more about: constructing a quilt with appliqué; silk, velveteen, and metallic coated fabrics; how to use hot fix crystals; the button stitch on my machine; and a little bit about how different threads look on different fabrics.
