Design Source - Description | When my husband was a little boy of about 5-6 he collected military service patches from men coming back from WW11, He asked them for their patches. When we were married in 1969 my mother-in-law gave me a shoe box full of these not so clean patches and said, "Now you can have these" I told my husband of three months, "Someday I will make you a quilt out of these." I didn't know how to quilt at that time. Some of these patches go back to the Civil Wr. One is hand made, from the China Burma campaign. The service star in the center of the quilts was my son Michael's idea, he was about 14 at the time. There is only one patch that we bought and that is the Dessert Storm Patch. |
