fortquilt Nova Nouvelle - I was very impressed with Jinny Beyer's pattern that appeared in the June 2005 issue of McCall's Quilting Magazine. I wanted to pick out my own fabrics to make it. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to go on a driving trip with my sister-in-law and we visited Jinny's shop. A very helpful person in the shop patiently helped me find fabrics I really liked. I used a different border print from the original pattern, so I had to adjust the sizes of all the setting pieces, but that was really no big deal. The quilt took first prize in the 2010 Michigan Quilt Network Showcase in the large machine quilted category.
