Fleur De Lace

Fleur De Lace - I adapted this quilt from the free pattern found on the RJR Fabric websight, La Fleur, by changing color schemes, simplifying the applique, and using very different borders. The two lace looking fabrics, a red and a black, from my stash came to mind when I saw the pattern. I was leary of using the bright red dot fabric for the borders for fear it would overwhelm the applique, but it ended up enhancing the look. The applique seems to jump right off the background! It turned out much nicer than I had ever envisioned.
