Design Source - Description | This quilt was made for my sister. She is the family geneologist and loves Halloween, so I used up most of my Halloween stash, which included 1-1/2 inch strips left from another project (braided tablerunners). I tried to research the block, but came up with nothing for the Coffin Star, which doesn't look like a star at all. The free-motion quilting includes pumpkins, bats, ghosts, monsters, spiders and webs with meandering in the 16-patches. The border fabric includes part of the witches scene from MacBeth (double, bubble, toil and trouble). See my personal photos for a detail of the quilting. |
