MAMA2TNT Puzzles and Games - This little quilt is the Spring Challenge 2012 at our quilt guild. The fabric given to us was a small square of male and female cardinals, with blue sky and pine branches. I put one bird in the corner and cut the remainder of the fabric, and some coordinating additional fabric, into little squares to resemble a slide the tile picture puzzle. I then added a wide border, twisted the block and added the gingham border to resemble a checked tablecloth. I embroidered the words "Cocoa and Cookies", "Puzzles and Games", "At the kitchen table", "On a wintry afternoon."
