Since 1979 was the Year of the International Child, this quilt represents my father's widowed Polish mother and her 11 children doing what they liked best. Her husband's portrait is on the wall above her in second block. Christmas gift to my father in 1979 and returned to me after his death in 1983. This quilt was featured on the cover of "Quilt World" magazine, December 1980. |
