Thunder Bay Charm Quilt

Thunder Bay Charm Quilt - This quilt uses 1089 different fabrics acquired during a charm square exchange by the Thunder Bay Quilt Guild in Atlanta, MI. I used an idea from Martha Thompson's book, "Square Dance:Fancy Quilts from Plain Squares." Even with the help of the book, sewing, cutting and arranging the pieces in a "Trip Around the World" fashion for such a large quilt was quite a challenge. This quilt won 2nd place for its categoryin the Michigan Quilt Network statewide show in 2009.
