GrannieLou1945 INDIAN SUMMER - The inspiration for this quilt came on the 75 mile drive home from the Indian Summer Quilt Show in Fargo, ND. There were leaves everywhere and geese flying in the autumn sky. There had also been a quilt in the show with leaves based on a 2 inch square grid but it was too uniform (boring) for my taste. I totally designed this layout in my EQ quilt design program. That was just as much fun as making the quilt itself. After quilting in the ditch I hand quilted veins in the leaves.
