fortquilt Asterisk Mosaic - This quilt is based on the "Asterisk Quilt" which appeared in a 2010 "Quiltmaker Magazine" article. I deviated from the quilt shown in “Quiltmaker Magazine” by adding a 1/2 inch dark brown print sashing. The inserts are all 1/2 inch, too, so this creates a sort of mosaic effect. I changed the borders as well, using a narrow inner batik border and a floral mitered outer border instead of the pieced border found in the original magazine article.
