carolad Etude du chat - This is an applique portrait of a cat looking down at his paw, based on an intriguing closeup photo done by his owner, who gave me permission to make this quilt. Strider is long-haired and had a fuzzy face with a cowlick along his nose. I found this project quite challenging to design and complete. I called it study of the cat (in French) in honor of my friend who loves cats and all things French.
