atkinssm Maui Rainbow - The batik strips used in the center were purchased while on vacation on Maui. The strips were sewn together to form a tube. The tube was sliced into 6" sections. Stitches were removed as you do for Bargello and the sections sewed together for the final placement. The boarder is from a piece of Ricky Tims' hand dyed fabric purchased the Super Quilt Seminar in Seattle. The quilting is done with various sizes of Hybiscus which is the state flower of Hawaii.
