Design Source - Description | It took me 6 months to complete the blocks for this quilt, a couple more months to put it all together, then I finally quilted it in June. Eleven months from start to finish. Most of the fabric in the blocks were from my stash and scrap bag. The fabric for the sashing, setting squares and backing were purchased specifically for this quilt. The blocks were all done using paper piecing. I chose a different layout than the book suggested. I wanted the blocks to stand out more as individuals. I searched for what to do on the border, then I saw the flying geese and knew I found it. Laurie Aaron, the author of the book, did an awesome job. |
