katmartin Daisy Quilt 2009 - I designed this quilt using a set of "Buck a Block"(Triangles on a Roll) sampler blocks I had purchased from a local quilt store. I made the blocks a few years earlier but never incorporated them into a quilt. The blocks were all black and white. My local quilt guild (Cactus Patchers) has a raffle quilt for our camp getaways and I had volunteered to make one for our getaway. The theme was "Please Don't Eat the Daisies". The border and sashing fabric is a white batik with yellow daisies. It just seemed to make it's way to my sampler blocks and the quilt was born! I truly loved this little quilt and my talented friend, Sandy Strunk quilted it in a daisy pattern on her Gammill. Normally, I just love giving my quilts away but I think this was the hardest one to let go!
