ConnieND Paper pieced Christmas tree - This was a challenge from a quilter friend in November 2006. She put her choice of fabrics into a bag and handed them out. I received a bag with mainly green fabrics. I had an aha moment and used a paper piece pattern that I have had for years. I was able to use muslin for my background and lame for the star. I embellished with machine stitching with metallic threads. also added beads and jewels.
